Wearing the bright color red associated with the GQP, Senator Sinema casts a vote for Jim Crow

Eight Republican senators lined up to shake the hand of and thank KystenSinema personally for her critical help in killing democracy after she cast one of two Democratic votes to protect the filibuster rather than the right to vote. Sinema brushed off even a carve-out to the filibuster to protect voting rights from GQP held states efforts to politicize the vote while ensuring that they always stay in power.

Once you lose democracy it will be difficult to get it back.

The degree to which Republicans are squealing like stuck pigs over voting rights tells you exactly how much they rely on suppression.

Senator @AmyKlobuchar was on fire on the Senate floor today, taking direct aim at some weak arguments that've been raised against amending the filibuster. In particular, arguments made by @KyrstenSinema. RT & watch: #JohnLewisFreedomActpic.twitter.com/JK5WVGYNZw

She shook the hand of John Kennedy of Louisiana, who voted against certifying the vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Every Democrat needs to denounce @SenatorSinema from now till the day she defects to throw the senate to the Republicans. She will do that the second the house or Senate goes Republican. A human False Flag. https://t.co/AtuYo1Bhki

that’s not all she did.

Kyrsten Sinema gleefully voted against the Voting Rights’ Act. Then, she pranced over to Mitch McConnell and shook his hand. She had coordinated with McConnell the whole time. Like the traitor that she is. Putin couldn’t have picked a better puppet. Vote her out. #MoscowSinema

I suppose Manchin had his GOP buddies shaking his hand, but that wasn’t caught on camera.

Despite the outraged sugarcoating from @MittRomney@SenatorCollins@LeaderMcConnell@SenatorSinema@Sen_JoeManchin I think historians would agree the filibuster was used today to advance its most consistent purpose thru history: to block equal rights for Blacks & other minorities

Exhibit A

For anyone who wants the clip. Here it is. Minority Leader McConnell says the quiet part out loud. https://t.co/82sI1ehSotpic.twitter.com/0Wuf1l0icf

It’s infuriating that we need to fight these battles once again. The struggle continues.

"So long as I do not firmly and irrevocably possess the right to vote, I do not possess myself,I cannot make up my mind -- it is made up for me. I cannot live as a democratic citizen, observing the laws I have helped to enact -- I can only submit to the edict of others." Martin Luther King 1957
