Former President George W. Bush was heckled at a speech about his eight years in office in Los Angeles. According to My News LA, Bush was met by thirty protestors outside the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. There were no arrests.
But it was inside where the fireworks were. Mike Prysner, an Iraq war veteran and activist, interrupted Bush during his speech, shouting:
"Mr. Bush, when are you going to apologize for the million Iraqis dead because you lied? You lied about WMDs - you lied about connections to 9/11 - you lied about Iraq being a threat! You sent ME to Iraq in 2003! My friends are dead!"- Mike Prysner
So many mental images of what happened in Iraq still haunt me, the torture, the bombings (particular the ISIS genocidal bombings of Yazidi’s), daily massacres, civil strife, ISIS, and the suffering and death of over one million people.
War criminals shouldn’t be able to rehabilitate their images in the presence of polite society. And, neither should traitorous insurrectionists.
Bush and his administration of war industry and fossil fuel hacks lied the country into war with Iraq and diverted the world's attention from Afghanistan.
Bush was the popular vote loser and installed by a partisan supreme court against the will of the majority of the American people.
He cravenly used the crisis over 9/11 with a “United We Stand” propaganda blitz. All the while, he and Cheney shoved right-wing policies, two radical Federalist Society Supreme Court judges, and a Middle East war down our throats over lies about weapons of mass distraction destruction.
